Tips For Surviving Corona Quarantine

  1. Keep. Moving. Just because your gym, community center, or wherever you work out is closed, doesn’t mean you can’t do SOMETHING. Everything around you has weight. YOUR OWN BODY HAS WEIGHT. Use that to your advantage.  

  2. Make it fun! Technology has come a long way so if you’re stumped or tired of the same old circuit, search on YouTube for fun ways of working out! For example, do 10 squats every time Jim pranks Dwight on The Office. THAT would get any person sore! 

  3. Find accountability. Possibly the most important aspect of achieving success is having somebody to hold you accountable! Whether that’s posting to social media or having a group of friends you send “proof” to, accountability can be what makes or breaks your progress altogether! 

  4. Drink LOTS of water. It pretty much goes without saying, but water is the best thing for you. It’ll keep your body functioning properly, and specifically, keep your immune system running optimally. On top of that, water helps to keep you full so that you’re less likely to snack when you get bored in quarantine! 

  5. Speaking of boredom, DON’T GET BORED! Just because we’re limited to who we come in contact with doesn’t mean you can’t go outside with your family! Walk the dog together, play games, etc. Get creative! There are so many online resources and ideas for ways to help the time pass while still staying active! The busier you are, the less you’ll want to just sit on the couch and snack. 

  6. Lastly, DON’T STRESS. God is in control and it’s all going to pass. Listen to the professionals, wash your hands (which you should be doing anyways), and do everything else listed above. Set daily and weekly goals so that you can keep progressing towards whatever you want to achieve. Plus, the more stressed you are, the more food you’ll eat to feel good and pass the time!
